Through my entire career as a vocalist and coach, I have heard every reason someone thinks they can’t sing:

• “I’m tone deaf.”

• “I don’t have the talent.”

• “It comes so much easier to everyone else.”

• “It’s too late for me.”

• “I hate hearing my voice in recordings.”

But in my 20+ years singing in choirs, musical theater, and solo performances, I have learned the real truth.

You Aren’t Born With Talent. You Build It.

Natural talent only changes your starting speed, not your potential. I've watched singers who "weren't gifted" surpass ones who were, simply because they kept showing up. So the hardest battle isn't singing. It's starting. Singing means sharing your speaking voice, the one you use every day, with friends and strangers. To risk it being misheard, dismissed, or judged. It's okay to be afraid of that but don’t let that fear rob you of your dreams and what brings you joy.

Here’s Something You May Not Know: You Have Two Voices.

There is one you hear when you speak and sing (which most people believe is their “true voice”). The other voice is the one everyone else hears, the one on a recording, that most people quietly can't stand. When I say Find Your Voice, I mean I want you to love BOTH of your “true voices”. And loving your voice doesn't take anything from anyone else. It just gives your voice back to you.
